My name is Joanne McQuillan, I am an integrative therapist using a range of modalities to meet the needs of the client.  I offer Legobased Play Therapy for children presenting ASD, run workshops and facilitate Fresh Little Minds GROW programme throughout the local community.  I am also a trainer with TT Training Academy, offering private and corporate training in mental health first aid and other workshops.

I work with adults, children and young people from all backgrounds with many issues presenting in the counselling room.

I offer a variety of counselling services to help you move past the obstacles in your life. I will help you identify your personal values, strengths, and abilities in support of your personal and professional goals. Contact me to see how I can help you develop different perspectives and achieve the outcomes you’re striving for.

The counselling relationship is a collaborative one where I will offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment where we can explore the challenges you are facing in your life.  I believe we all have the ability within us to change, and by facilitating your counselling we share the space to develop our self- awareness, confidence and daily lives.

Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled.  At times life can be difficult and it can be hard to manage on your own. When this happens, you can feel lots of different things - sad, scared, hopeless or angry. Often, we keep all our feelings and thoughts inside ourselves and this can make things worse. We think that it is okay to ask for help at a time like this and that with some support, you might be able to find your own answers.
Counselling offer you a confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings or experiences over a period of time with the support of a trained listener. I offer you friendly and non-judgemental space in which you get to know and understand yourself better and make changes in your life.

I run private practice which means you can contact me directly, but I also accept referrals which means that you will need to see someone like your GP, teacher or social worker, and ask them to make a referral to me on your behalf.

If you are a professional and would like to make a referral for a child, young person or adult, please email or use the contact form on this website.
